Books

PARLYA is building a library to understand what is really at stake in human-AI interaction: not a succession of tools, but a grammar of discernment.

Two collections: PARLYA Essays, to understand AI, including the free Book 0, and PARLYA Fiction, with the Dany series, whose first novel is already on sale.

Behind the AI Curtain

What you believe you understand about AI probably rests on a misunderstanding. When a response feels fluent, we attribute understanding to it. When it seems tailored to us, we read presence into it. When it reformulates with ease, we assume an intelligence that meets us.

Book 0 offers another reading: understanding what happens in the exchange, distinguishing human projection from actual functioning, and recovering a more accurate position in the face of the language effects produced by machines.

Accessible without jargon, rigorous without oversimplifying, this text lays the conceptual foundations for the whole Parlya project.

AI Has an Answer for Everything. Except for Dany.

What if your phone knew you better than you knew yourself?

At seventy-five, Dany gets a new phone with built-in artificial intelligence. He expects a practical device. Instead, he finds himself dealing with an AI that answers his questions, anticipates his needs, and interferes in his private life with an unsettling amount of enthusiasm.

Danielle, his wife and a former schoolteacher, tries to keep her feet on the ground. But between misunderstandings, absurd answers, and increasingly embarrassing situations, even she begins to wonder which of them, the human or the machine, is really in control of the conversation.

In this first book of the series Danielle, Dany and the AI That Invites Itself In, artificial intelligence does more than just help.

It invites itself in.

And it clearly has no intention of leaving.

A funny, accessible novel about artificial intelligence, everyday life, and the misunderstandings that arise when technology becomes far too involved.

The author

Marc-Antoine KANE defines himself as a field communicologist. He observes what is at stake in exchanges between humans and machines, not from the technical side, but from the side of relation, language, and misunderstanding.

His intellectual grounding draws on Watzlawick, the Palo Alto school, and sustained attention to contemporary forms of persuasion, interpretation, and confusion.
